Meet the Team

Tom and his father, Richard, set up Hippo Group Limited in 2007. Having worked in the motor trade since leaving school he has a wealth of knowledge in the industry. He manages the day to day running of the business and out of work Tom enjoys rallying in his BMW M3, holidays abroad and socialising with his family and friends.

Richard has been in the motor trade for 40 years. Having owned many main dealerships he is extremely experienced and has close working relationships with many main dealers and prestige garages throughout the UK. Consequently one of his main roles within the company is to purchase new and used vehicle stock.

Richard enjoys many sports including golf, motorsports and is often seen on the local race track in his bright yellow Caterham R500.

Kate has worked for the Hippo Group since it was first set up in 2007. She began as a receptionist and completed basic admin tasks but has since successfully worked her way up. Kate is now in control of the majority of sales admin and accounts. She has recently been awarded a distinction in IAB(International Association of Book-Keepers) Level 2 in Computerised Book-Keeping.

Kate'constants's hobbies include riding her horse Maddie, going to the gym and the cinema.

Sarah processes the finance documents to ensure that all the Lenders and customers requirements are met. She also liaises with our customers post delivery to ensure that they are happy with the level of service provided.

Out of work Sarah loves to spend time with her young son, shopping and socialising with friends.

Rebecca joined Hippo Leasing in 2008. She has always had an interest in cars so when the opportunity arose at Hippo she transferred her fabric selling skills to that of selling cars with fantastic results. Rebecca also has accounts ledger experience.

She enjoys spending her summer holidays in Greece with her family and cannot wait until her daughter is old enough to start ski-ing.

Over the years Mark has worked with Tom and Richard at both their Land Rover and BMW dealerships. Their working relationship began in 1987 when he was a parts advisor at Prestons BMW. Since then he has gained sales and managerial experience.

Mark who is originally from Kenya loves to spend time with his family. He also enjoys cooking and going to the gym.

John is responsible for the preparation of the vehicle'constants's prior to delivery and the delivery of the vehicle to the customer. Previously John had a haulage company in Canada but returned to England 2008 and began his employment at Hippo.

John is a keen football player and likes to spend time with his family. He also enjoys a well earned pint (or two!) with friends.

Andy has been a rapid repair specialist for 4 years and has worked for Hippo for almost two. His specialism is alloy wheel scuff repairs, windscreen chips and minor cosmetic paint repairs. Andy undertakes all our internal rapid repair work and also provides these services for a number of local dealers in our area.

In his spare time Andy likes to attend classic Ford Motor Shows.

Having worked at our previous BMW dealership in sales admin for many years Sue joined the Hippo Group in 2008 where she was office manager for Hippo finance, she was very successful in this role and in 2010 she moved across as account manager for hippo leasing. Sue has a passion for sales and in the short time she has been in sales has been a real asset to the company.

Sue enjoys spending time with her family, going to watch stock car racing and going on holidays abroad

Zoe joined Hippo in October 2010 as an Account Manager after spending nine years in financial services. She enjoys building client relationships and continues to attain new customers from all over the UK and will go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction.

Zoe likes to socialise and spend quality time with her family and friends.

Sarah started with the HIPPO Group in 2008 where she was taken on as one of the office administrators for HIPPO finance and over the years created a fantastic relationship with our dealers. Because of this and her hard work Sarah was put in charge of the office in 2010 up until her start as Account manager for HIPPO Vehicle Solutions in June 2011.

Out of work Sarah enjoys spending time with her friends and going out for a glass of wine or two!
