The Volvo S60 has always been pitched as an alternative to the dominance of the medium sized German executive cars. This estate car succeeds in that because it's stylish, well put together and because of its well regarded safety features. Firstly the safety where Volvo almost cornered the market but have since retreated slightly from a marketing perspective, looking to promote a more rounded appeal than just as a safe but luxurious box on wheels. The good news is that they still kept the actual safety features themselves from a ton of airbags through to electronic safety control, city safety (which works by identifying potential accidents) and pedestrian protect which uses radar to detect potential collisions with them. There are loads of petrol and diesel engines ranging from a 1.6 litre petrol through to a much more ambitious T6 petrol paired with all wheel drive that hums its way to 62mph in 6.1 seconds. Four diesels are on offer and the 2.0-litre D3 (139g/km CO2 emissions) is often the most chosen for its combination of emissions, economy and performance. Every version of S60 has alloy wheels, cruise control, climate control, traction control and loads of the aforementioned air bags - as you would expect from a Germany luxury car challenger. The new S60 is on the way so stay tuned for fantastic new lease deals from Hippo but if a new, nearly new or used S60 takes your fancy we are here to provide full finance options.
