Our COVID-secure handover process

You can still collect your new car from our state-of-the-art showroom in Lancashire through our COVID-secure handover. 

As usual, you can choose a time slot that suits you, and you’ll have a designated handover specialist available to answer any questions. 

But to ensure you and our team remain safe, and to be fully compliant with the Government’s new rules, we’ve made some changes to how we do things. 

To make things easier, we’ve explained what’ll happen below. 

Step 1: Letting us know you’re here

As you’re not allowed in the showroom under the Government’s new rules, we ask you to give us a call on 01254 956666 when you arrive. Our receptionist team will then let your handover specialist know you’re here.

We expect they’ll be ready and waiting for your arrival. But in the case of any unexpected delays, we ask for your patience while we operate with less staff than usual. 

Step 2: Inspecting your new car

We’ll unlock your pre-sanitised car so you can take a look around and make sure you’re completely happy with everything. It’ll be parked in one of our dedicated COVID-secure handover bays. 

While you’re doing so, your masked handover specialist will be with you but remain at a safe distance, so they can answer any of your questions. 

All our cars are rigorously checked and signed off by our quality control team before handover. But in the unlikely event of there being an issue, we ask that you either make your handover specialist aware during delivery or if anything occurs after you’ve left, to contact our help desk by clicking this link.

Step 3: Signing for your car

Once you’re happy with everything, your handover specialist will send you any final documentation that needs signing via email. 

As our showroom is closed, and all our handovers are taking place in our outdoor COVID-secure handover bays, we won’t be able to complete any paperwork inside.

So we ask that you bring your phone with you, as we’ll need your signature before you drive away. 

Step 4: Enjoying your new car

Once all the paperwork is signed, and we’ve sorted everything with your old vehicle if you’re part-exchanging, we’ll hand over your sanitised keys and you can begin to enjoy your new car. 

Other information

Before you arrive at our showroom, we’ll send you your new vehicle’s V5 number so you can tax it at home.

But other than that, everything remains the same. We still need you to bring all your part-exchange documents with you if you’re trading in your old car, including all keys.
