The Volvo XC40 Estate has everything you need to please passengers and driver alike and we have all three trims in the form of the “Momentum”, the “R Design” and the “Inscription” available for lease.

Volkswagen Passat

The Volkswagen Passat makes a fantastic family and child-friendly choice. VW has been making the Passat for over 46 years now. The engines, the build quality and reliability of the Passat are beyond question, the hardest part is picking which one is right for you.

There are 4 main trims with the S, the SE Business, the GT and the R-line and we reckon the value lies with the SE Business. The SE Business trim has smart looking 17” alloys; front and rear parking sensors and adaptive cruise control. You’ll also be treated to three-zone climate control; tinted glass in the rear and a heated passenger seat to keep everyone else in the car comfortable.

Ford C-Max

The Ford C-Max is an MPV in every way, and with that, it’s a great car to drive, has a high quality and spacious interior and comes with excellent equipment levels. These attributes make it one of the best family cars on sale today.

Engine choice is fairly straightforward: two engines, one petrol and one diesel at 1.0-litre and 1.5-litres respectively and three trim levels, namely the entry-level Zetec, the Titanium and the Titanium X, all with real differences in equipment levels. The smaller petrol engines start at 127 g/km CO2  and the 1.5-litre diesel engines offer more grunt and are more suited to motorway driving.

Standard equipment at entry level includes hill start assist, air conditioning and cruise control plus 16” alloys, ABS and traction control while the Titanium includes cruise control, climate control, and an 8” touchscreen.

In short, the C Max offers Ford practicality and safety with good value throughout the range and the choice of appropriate engines and extras. Right now we have a fantastic offer on the C-Max 1.0 litre EcoBoost 125 Titanium Navigation which also includes sat nav at less than £293 per month or you can go for the entry-level Zetec at £270 per month.

 

Mazda CX-3

The Mazda CX-3 crossover flows very well from tip to toe with a distinctive and confident gaze that says it’s ready for all you have to throw at it. The cabin has an upmarket look and feel and the CX-3 is genuinely fun to drive.

Mazda is not a great believer when it comes to turbos, in general, believing that the addition odf turbos to small engines gives a veneer of power, ultimately at the expense of true fuel economy. Instead, the Japanese manufacturer uses larger, normally aspirated engines (at least on petrol versions) available as 1.5-litre diesels or 2.0 litre petrol engines and four trims. These trims range from the entry-level SE Nav through SE-L Nav and Sports Nav with the latter available with 4X4.

Standard kit is on the entry-level SE Nav is impressive with alloy wheels, cruise control, airbags all round, Sat nav and traction control. You can actually get the SE Nav for a little over £205 per month but if you want the security of four-wheel drive, then we have the same spec with all-wheel drive for only £252 per month

The Mazda CX3 is a real contender for any  ‘best compact crossover’ award with head-turning but balanced looks, a great interior and standard kit and intelligent engines that compliment it.

 

Volkswagen Tiguan

The Volkswagen Tiguan is another sure-fire family car winner and the midsized SUV has loads of space, refinement together with a high-quality interior and a huge choice of engines that allow everything from the school run to road trips to be completed with ease.

The VW Tiguan can be described as the SUV for fans of the Volkswagen Golf lovers. The Tiguan’s mature lines together with its no-fuss demeanour and stylish and proven pedigree mean that it is now one of the most popular VW’s around.

This contemporary crossover has a treasure trove of standard and optional extras.
