New Range Rover: Orders now open for luxury SUV

Land Rover has revealed pricing details for the all-new Range Rover, with the flagship model aiming to reclaim its crown as the world’s most desirable luxury SUV.

With a suite of efficient mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains – and a pure-electric Range Rover set to join the line-up in 2024 – plus a choice of four, five or seven-seat interiors available across standard and long wheelbase body designs, it aims to offer something to everyone.

Range Rover P440e, which is an extended range plug-in hybrid model, is available from £103,485 (OTR).

The flagship Range Rover SV is available in short wheelbase form from £146,200 (OTR), with the P530 long wheelbase model priced from £173,200 (OTR).

With a top-to-bottom overhaul both inside and outside, the luxury SUV features a subtle evolution of the traditional Range Rover styling. 

This includes a contemporary approach to its trademark profile, with its characteristically short front overhang and a distinctive new boat tail rear – complete with practical split tailgate – creating an elegant profile.

Further highlights include a new grille design, sharper LED headlights, and a drag coefficient of 0.30, making this the most aerodynamically efficient luxury SUV in the world.

Land Rover’s new flexible Modular Longitudinal Architecture, MLA-Flex, underpins every aspect of this luxury SUV, from its unmatched capability and agile handling to its peerless refinement. This will allow customers to choose Standard and Long Wheelbase bodystyles with luxurious four, five or seven-seat interiors also on offer.

The new Range Rover combines advanced technology with modern luxury to deliver peerless refinement for every occupant, including those in the new third-row seats, while next-generation noise-cancelling headrest speakers help to create the ultimate refinement and tranquility.

Integrated Chassis Control with Dynamic Response Pro provides takes that further by offering supreme ride comfort using Electronic Air Suspension which primes the vehicle for corners using eHorizon data.

This is further exemplified by All-Wheel Steering as standard which combines superior high-speed stability with exceptional manoeuvrability at low speeds – and a turning circle of less than 11m4.

The interior is characterised by luxurious alternatives to traditional leather including a new premium textile that combines Ultrafabrics and Kvadrat wool-blend.

Inside, the new Versatile Loadspace Floor protects luggage and enhances convenience. Its clever floor panel can be raised forward, across the width of the load area around its mid-point, forming a partition to contain smaller items and keep them within easy reach when unloading.

Range Rover infotainment

Land Rover’s Pivi Pro infotainment technology finds its way into the new Range Rover, housed within is largest ever touchscreen.

This 13.1-inch curved, floating screen embodies the architectural lightness of the interior with a minimalist frame design. It provides intuitive control of all the major vehicle functions via a smartphone-inspired interface.

The in-car experience is further revolutionised with seamlessly integrated Amazon Alexa allowing you to manage everything from your favourite infotainment features and music selection to navigation or phone contacts – all while keeping your hands on the wheel and eyes on the road. For those used to using Android Auto or Apple CarPlay in their car, these features are also available.

Rear passengers don’t need to feel left out either, they can enjoy a new Rear Seat Entertainment (RSE) system which provides adjustable 11.4-inch HD touchscreens mounted on the rear of the front seatbacks.

An eight-inch touchscreen controller mounted in the centre armrest of Executive Class Rear Seats also provides quick and intuitive control for the perfect seating position, elevating the luxurious rear-seat experience.

Range Rover powertrains and range

A comprehensive line-up of advanced six and eight-cylinder powertrains will be offered in the range. 

The new Range Rover provides electrified performance with a choice of new Extended Range Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) powertrains, the P440e and P510e. Combining the inherent refinement of Land Rover’s in-line six-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine with a 38.2kWh lithium-ion battery and a 105kW electric motor integrated with the transmission, it can offer 62 miles of pure-electric driving.

The latest mild-hybrid (MHEV) P400 Ingenium petrol and D300 and D350 diesel engines will also be offered across the range as well as a powerful new petrol flagship – the P530 Twin Turbo V8 – which delivers increased refinement and performance and is 17 percent more efficient than the previous Range Rover V8.

A fully-electric Range Rover is set to premiere in 2024 as Land Rover embraces new Reimagine strategy, bringing full-time zero tailpipe emissions driving to the Range Rover for the first time.

The new luxury SUV is available in SE, HSE and Autobiography models. 

A First Edition will be available throughout the first year of production, based on the Autobiography and featuring a unique specification. It is exclusively available in a Sunset Gold Satin finish, among a choice of five exterior colours.
