The Real Housewives of Cheshire is currently filming its sixth season after being launched in January 2015. The show covers the lives of a group of affluent housewives living in Cheshire and Greater Manchester, with a focus on their day-to-day lives. We are going to focus on three of the housewives and the luxurious cars they own.

Cars are status symbols that exude wealth and position by the brands and models the housewives have purchased. Each of their following housewives has a unique car each, but all three of them also share a car in common. You will probably be able to guess which car they all own.

Dawn Ward – Audi Q7

Dawn Ward is the housewife with the successful interior design company, a group of celebrity friends including Coleen Rooney and Steven Gerard and is married to former Manchester City footballer, Ashley Ward.

Dawn’s choice car is the Audi Q7. This was Audi’s attempt to take down the Range Rover. It makes an excellent effort with a brilliant range of engines, one of the best interiors in its class and it can genuinely go off-road and survive.

Blue Audi Q7

Within the engine range on offer for the Audi Q7, there is a top spec 3.0-litre diesel engine delivering 268 bhp. That exact model soars from 0-60 mph in 6.5 seconds and up to a top speed of 145 mph. In terms of fuel economy, which Dawn may care about, this engine has a combined fuel economy of 47.1 mpg.

Inside the Q7, Dawn will be pleased. Everything inside is the highest quality. From the materials that cover the dashboard to the premium leather, there is nothing to be disappointed about. The dashboard is dominated by a central touchscreen, which removes any button clutter and there is the added option of having a Virtual Cockpit screen behind the steering wheel.

Dawn has four daughters and the Audi Q7 has space inside for all. The front seats are electrically adjustable and heated for those cold winter months. The three seats in the middle are plentiful and the rearmost seats are incredibly spacious. Being too cramped is not something you hear around the spacious Q7.

Tanya Bardsley – Porsche Cayenne

Tanya Bardsley is also married to a footballer – Stoke City’s Phil Bardsley. She was once an FHM model but is now a full-time life coach and author. Her car of choice is the Porsche Cayenne.

Porsche Cayenne

The Porsche Cayenne offers up a 3.6-litre turbocharged V6 engine powering through with 420 bhp. It sprints from 0-60 mph in just 5.5 seconds and accelerates to a top speed of 160 mph. This model does only deliver a combined fuel economy of 28.8 mpg, which obviously isn’t a priority for Tanya.

Inside the Cayenne, you won’t be surprised to learn it is once again superior quality. As you may imagine, Porsche has used nothing but the high-quality materials to construct the cabin. You can choose the type of interior you want with plenty of leather and stained wood options on offer. It isn’t bad in terms of space, but nowhere near as spacious as its closest rivals. It does, however, have a boot capacity of 670-litres, which is impressive.

Lauren Simon – BMW i8

The BMW i8 is the brand’s hybrid supercar, giving Lauren some green credentials. The i8 is leading the industry in hybrid supercars powered by heavily turbocharged small engines and duo electric motors.

BMW i8

The engine is a 1.5-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine developing 228 bhp matched with 13 bhp electric motor used to start the engine. There is an additional front mounted motor producing 129 bhp, bringing the i8’s overall power to 357 bhp. This allows this hybrid to sail from 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds and has a limited top speed of 155 mph.

Inside the i8’s cabin you are treated to a futuristic feel, however, getting into it does require a bum-first manoeuvre. Once you are inside, you are surrounded by luxurious comfort, with a driver focused dashboard angled towards you. You also get two large display screens showing you your driver information, including a digital binnacle and sat-nav.

You guessed it! The humble Range Rover!

If there was one car that represented the footballer and housewife club more than any other it is the Range Rover. They all own one. It is THE car they all have in common. Unsurprising considering it is large, luxurious and incredible both on and off the road.

Range Rover

The Range Rover has a variety of engines on offer, but the favourite is the 4.4-litre V8 engine producing 340 bhp. It accelerates from 0-60 mph in 7.5 seconds smoothly thanks to the eight-speed automatic gearbox that comes as standard. Not bad for a car of its size.

When you climb into the Range Rover, you immediately notice how well designed and luxurious the interior is. When driving, the cabin is well insulated to keep the noise of the road, engine and wind out. You can drive in close to silence, and all your passengers will have plenty of space to recline and relax in. It does also have 909-litres of loading space in the boot and if you drop those seats, it will increase massively.
