Vauxhall Corsa-e

We begin our list with the Vauxhall Corsa-e hatchback. This attractive five-door vehicle has so much to offer with its numerous features, zippy electric engine and modern looks.

Externally, the Vauxhall has been designed with beautiful body-coloured finishes, dark tinted back windows and a full set of LED lights. All windows and door mirrors are electric-operated. The exterior of this new three-door Mini is a work of art. Boasting a bonnet scoop, a newly-designed radiator grille, LED lights, Union Jack taillights and white indicator lenses, this vehicle exudes both class and confidence.

Powering this little beast is a front-mounted electric motor that produces 181bhp and 270Nm of torque. This allows the Mini Hatchback to accelerate from 0-62mph in 7.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 93mph. The 32.6kWh battery gives this Mini a range of up to 145 miles and has a wallbox full charge time of four hours and 45 minutes. Thanks to its 50kW DC rapid charging capability, it can be recharged to 80% capacity in under an hour.

Internally, the new Mini houses more features than you can shake a stick at. These include two-zone climate control, ambient lighting, and a three spoke sports multifunctional leather steering wheel. Volkswagen ID.3

Making waves with its family-friendly design and superior motor capabilities, the upmarket electric car comes with the VW ID.3 Pro Performance. This is designed specifically for electric use.

Adding to the sophisticated look of the exterior are the body-coloured bumpers and door mirrors, the latter sporting integrated indicators. Moving on to separate LED daytime running lights also perform the indicator function and all windows are electrically operated.

The Pro Performance drivetrain produces 210bhp, allowing the ID.3 a 0-62mph time of only 7.3 seconds and a top speed of 99mph. The rear-mounted motor is powered by a 58kWh battery that has a 0-100% wallbox charge time (7.4kW) of 9 hours and 15 minutes. And a rapid charge time (100kW) of 33 minutes (10-80%).

Peugeot e-208

The fourth car on our best electric car lease deals list is the smart looking, practical and performance-orientated Peugeot e-208. As a five-door French export it’s fast-developing a reputation for being both entertaining and dependable.

The body of the e-208 is stylish to say the least. It comes with gloss black finishes, LED lights and a diamond black rear spoiler. Another attractive feature is the 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels. These are fitted as standard with the Allure trim package.

With the MX-30 GT Sport Tech option, you’ll get an AC synchronous water-cooled electric motor that delivers 143hp and 271Nm of torque. This means the MX-30 can accelerate from 0-60mph in 9.5 seconds and has a top speed of 87mph. A lithium-ion 35.5kWh battery energises the MX-30 and gives the car a maximum range of 124 miles. The battery charges in just 30 minutes using a 50kWh DC charger.

The battery charges in 2.5 days with a 120V power point and in 9 hours 45 minutes with a 240V power point. A DC fast charger will reduce your charge time to 54 minutes for an 80% charge. MG ZS

Kia Niro EV Estate

Kia’s Niro crossover has been completely redesigned from the ground up to meet the complex and diverse needs of today’s environmentally conscious car buyers. The latest car features a trio of state-of-the-art electrified powertrains – hybrid, plug-in hybrid and fully electric – and features an interior made from a higher proportion of sustainable and recycled materials.

The EV’s range follows a familiar and logical path when it comes to equipment levels, with a choice of ‘2’, ‘3’ or ‘4’ trim levels across all three variants. Niro EV ‘2’ models additionally pair an 8.0-inch touchscreen display with 10.25-inch instrument cluster, and also feature 17-inch alloy wheels, 11kW on-board charger, and a battery heating system.

Niro EV ‘3’ models benefit from the Vehicle-to-Device (V2D – formerly known as Vehicle-to-Load) functionality with a three-pin plug socket as standard, with the option of a heat pump. Crowning the EV line-up is the ‘4’ grade. This adds a head-up display, twin 10.25-inch touchscreen and instrument cluster display, heated rear seats and ventilated front seats, front passenger premium relaxation seating, a power operated tailgate, electric sunroof, and much more.

The Niro EV is powered by a long-range 64.8 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery pack and a 201 bhp (150 kW) electric motor. Torque is rated at 255 Nm, and the car is capable of accelerating from 0-to-62 mph in just 7.8 seconds. Kia engineers are targeting an electric driving range of 285 miles. And, recharging from 10 to 80 per cent takes as little as 45 minutes – up to nine minutes quicker than the outgoing model.
