Part Exchange Process

14th March 2018

Living in a generation of ‘2 in 1’, we are always looking for ways to save both time and money. For example, the opportunity to simply swap your old car for your new car in one swift movement seems like a much more appealing option! This avoids the hassle of selling your vehicle privately and spending time and money to do so.

At Hippo Leasing, we offer the most easy and efficient experience to our customers. Part Exchange is no exception, and is much easier than you might think - you can now swap your car for the best price, with no need to sell privately.

With cost being the main factor to consider for many car buyers, you’ll want to keep the monthly payments as low as possible when leasing a car. Part exchanging your vehicle can be the perfect contributor to low monthly payments.

With Hippo Leasing, the process is simple.

  1. Fill in and submit the short part exchange form on the site with a few details about yourself and your vehicle.
  2. One of our specialist account managers will then be in touch with a valuation and any other details you may require regarding the lease options available.
  3. If you do decide to upgrade your car with Hippo Leasing, you have two options. You can simply swap your car when picking up your new vehicle from our showroom. Alternatively, we can take your old car when delivering your new one.

What happens to the part exchange value?

The part exchange value will go towards a deposit for your lease agreement. A higher deposit will give lower monthly payments.

Can I part exchange my car with outstanding finances?

Yes, the part exchange value may be able to go towards paying off any outstanding finances.

Can I Take Cash in Return for Part Exchanging My Car?

If you own the car and have no money outstanding for it, then yes you can receive cash in exchange for your car.

Do You Need to Physically See My Car to Value It for Part Exchange?

No, one of our account managers can value your vehicle without seeing this physically. The part exchange form must be completed as accurately as possible and if the vehicle is not as described, you would be responsible for any repairs.
