The Zoe is a 100% all-electric vehicle from French car giant Renault that keeps getting better thanks to Renault's considerable investment in electric technology. This investment has yielded a new engine, the R110 which replaces the R90 and now has 80kW (108bhp) maximum power and maximum torque of 225Nm. How far can it go? Electric range is not straightforward, it's a combination of driving style, average speed and outside temperature but the range on the Renault Zoe is up to 239 miles driving at an average of 31 mph and the temperature was 15 degrees. A more realistic gauge is possibly driving at 50 mph yielding a 179 miles range according to the manufacturer. How long does it take to charge? Well, at a motorway service station with a 43kW charger it will charge from 30% to 80% in an hour and give about 90 miles when you pull away. A standard home wall box charger with 7,4kW charger will take just under 6 hours to do the same. There are two trims, the Dynamique Nav and the Signature Nav, both are solid with the Dynamique having 16-inch alloys, a seven-inch touchscreen system, Bluetooth, rear parking sensors and push button stop/start while the Signature adds Bose speakers, a reversing camera and heated seats. The Renault Zoe is becoming a firm favourite with its enhanced range. At Hippo Leasing we have a range of a different sort - a huge range of new, nearly new and used vehicles available on lease.
