It’s hard to believe that the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has been pumping out blockbuster after blockbuster for over a decade now. With Thor: Love and Thunder the next instalment in the unstoppable juggernaut’s release schedule, we’ve had a look back to see what great cars that have shown up in the Marvel Cinematic Universe over the years…

Audi R8

The film that kickstarted the whole MCU also has the kudos of featuring one of the most awe-inspiring hypercars still available: the Audi R8.

With a naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 engine in the mid-rear of the car, 570ps of power, and 580Nm of torque, it can achieve 0-62 of just over three seconds.

Big, bold, brash, the Audi R8 suited Tony Stark to a tee. The start of a beautiful relationship, the Audi/Iron Man partnership lasted until Endgame with Tony Stark moving with the times and opting for the all-electric Audi e-tron GT until his character’s demise.

Lamborghini Huracan

Although it’s only in the film briefly, before being completely wrecked, the Lamborghini Huracan plays a very pivotal role in the origin story of Dr Strange.

Acclaimed and arrogant, Dr. Stephen Strange’s origin story is a timely warning against the perils of distracted driving as, while reviewing a patient’s medical records he accidently steers his Italian hypercar off a cliff. With terribly injured hands leaving him unable to operate, he then begins his journey to superhero-ness by studying sorcery and the secrets of the multidimensions in order to save the world.

All well and good, but was it all really worth the price of totaling a Lamborghini Huracan?

Hyundai Veloster

And now for something completely different: a Hot Wheels car made life size.

Yep, one of the best things about Ant Man is the ability to shrink or enlarge a variety of objects, and in one of the most fun parts of Ant Man and the Wasp we get to see Luis, a former cellmate of Ant Man, enlarge this cool Hyundai Veloster from his Hot Wheels collection to make a quick getaway.

Because who hasn’t dreamed of doing that with your toys as a kid?

Chevrolet Corvette Stingray C7

Few things are as American as Captain America… except maybe mom’s apple pie… and Chevrolet. But as far as we’re aware, only Chevrolet has appeared in a Captain America film so it has the slight advantage over that delicious dessert.

Released in the same year as the film (2014), the C7 is as beastly as it looks thanks to its 6.2-litre V8 engine, 455hp and top speed of 195 mph.

No wonder Black Widow couldn’t resist giving the V8 a nice rev and doing a slight burnout after picking up Cap. And that’s why it’s one of the best cars in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Lexus LC 500

One of the biggest successes of the entire MCU, Black Panther sees Prince T’Challa, hailing from the Afro-futurist nation of Wakanda, attempt to stop a global revolution while protecting his secretive country.

One of the biggest set pieces of the entire film sees Black Panther chasing thieves who have stolen a piece of his nation’s treasured vibranium. In true superhero fashion he does that while perched atop the Lexus LC 500 as it’s piloted remotely from Wakanda. This perfectly showcases the sleek and unique looks of the luxury LC 500.

Oh, and did we mention you can lease one via Hippo Leasing too?
