The Addams Family returned to our screens for the first time since the 1990s in Netflix’s 2022 coming-of-age supernatural comedy-horror series Wednesday. Centered on the daughter, Wednesday Addams, as protagonist, the series has become a huge hit.
Wednesday totalled 341.2 million viewing hours worldwide in its opening week, setting a record for the best opening week for any English language series on Netflix. It broke its own record the following week, reaching 400 million hours within a single week. It also reached Netflix’s top 10 across 93 countries.
Here at Hippo Leasing, we decided to redesign the iconic sidecar that Uncle Fester drives, with Wednesday in the passenger seat in the penultimate episode of season one.
What Uncle Fester’s sidecar in Wednesday would look like if Ford designed it
On the penultimate episode (episode 7, 16:30) we see Wednesday reunite with her Uncle, Fester. They ride the ‘Door to door dog walking’ dalmatian print mystery sidecar vehicle. Uncle Fester says to Wednesday, “You know me. I like to travel incognito”.
Well for those fans that also like to drive incognito, our redesign of the iconic sidecar could be perfect.
Should the ‘Uncle Ford F(i)ester’ be added to the Ford Fiesta range?
The Ford Fiesta is a supermini car marketed by Ford that has sold over 22 million since 1976. The Fiesta has been developed and manufactured by Ford’s European operations. It’s a car that has been loved for over seven generations.
Achieving the status of Britain’s most popular new car in 1990, 1991, 1996, 1997, 1998 and each year from 2009 to 2020, the Fiesta has truly made its mark with UK drivers.
The end of the Ford Fiesta is imminent with the model stopping in 2023. Could this be a way for Ford to give the popular car model one last hoorah?
